Nobody’s Home is a collection of places, objects, and experiences shaped by travel, memory, and the hands that made them.

Rooted in the Dominican Republic and the Catskills, our work moves slowly honoring craft, land, and the stories held inside everyday rituals.

What We Do:
We build culture through design, hospitality, and storytelling. Shaping spaces and objects that invite connection, belonging, and reflection.

Every stay, gathering, and object we create becomes part of a collective memory. In our world, no one owns the experience, yet everyone belongs to it.

Our Core Pillars

1. Design & Architecture

We design homes and environments inspired by nature, ancestry, and locality where minimalism meets soul.

Every structure is created with reverence for the land, the makers, and the materials that hold our stories.

2. Culture & Curation

We collaborate with artisans, craftspeople, and cultural stewards to curate pieces that carry the textures and traditions of place.

Every object is a conversation between past and present.

3. Hospitality & Belonging

Our stays are not “rental properties” they are cultural dwellings.

Personal yet communal, quiet yet alive, familiar yet new.

Every guest becomes part of a shared narrative.

The Founders
Kenard Bunkley
Jennifer Rosario-Bunkley

Jennifer and Kenard Bunkley are husband and wife, designers and builders whose work is rooted in respect for land, memory, and lived experience.

Their journey began with vintage clothing and furniture, drawn to objects shaped by time, use, and history. This early practice taught them to value craftsmanship, restraint, and the stories carried within materials, principles that now guide their approach to home design.

Jennifer’s cultural roots in the Dominican Republic inform a deep desire to return to the land her family calls home. This connection shapes how each space responds to climate, culture, and place. As their lives stretch between New York and the Dominican Republic, design has become a family practice, with their children actively engaged and sharing their perspectives throughout the process.

Nobody’s Home is both a name and a philosophy. It reflects the belief that homes belong to the earth, not to individuals. Each project is designed to sit gently within its surroundings, incorporating nature rather than competing with it, guided by balance, humility, and harmony.

Together, Jennifer and Kenard create spaces meant to be stewarded, not owned. Homes that invite presence, honor impermanence, and return us to our relationship with the land.

Nobody’s Home is not a destination.

" It’s a feeling you recognize before you name it."

Right now, that feeling lives in two homes each shaped by land, light, and lived memory.
